In 1996, the Wilbraham United Players broke with its long-standing tradition of performing only musical theatre and staged its first non-musical play. They chose the classic comedy “You Can't Take it With You” written by George Kaufman and Moss Hart. This show represented the first time in decades that the Players performed on the stage in Fellowship Hall at the Wilbraham United Church - a performance space they had been instrumental in having built when the church was added on to in the 1960's.
Since then the Players have performed many non-musical as well as musical plays, utilizing the Fellowship Hall stage whenever practical.
